Neutron radiography is a non-destructive testing technique that uses neutrons to reveal the inner structure of objects by detecting the neutron attenuation in the imaged objects. In comparison to the X/γ radiography, neutron radiography has unique advantages, such as high penetration ability in dense materials, high sensitivity for light element detection, high accuracy for composition identification, and strong anti-interference ability.
A Mobile Neutron Radiography system for Non-destructive Testing has been developed by IANS, with the technical characteristics of high intensity neutron source miniaturization, high efficiency collimation, and intelligent image processing. This radiography system is well suited for non-destructive testing in industries such as aerospace, energy storage, archaeology, material science, nuclear energy, etc.
