China Lead-based Reactors CLEAR is a miniaturized, mobile and intelligently controlled advanced nuclear energy system with inherent safety and special liquid metals (lead/bismuth/lithium, etc.) as the cooling medium. The design life is 30-60 years. The fuel is free of replacement for 10-30 years. The system has wide power(electric power kW to 100 MW), which can be flexibly combined to adapt to various application requirements. With the remarkable characteristics of ultra-safety, ultra-small size and ultra-long service life, CLEAR can be widely used in power supply for islands and ocean platforms, ship power, combined heat and power supply for independent industrial parks, etc. FDS have accumulated more than three decades of experience in the development of special liquid metal reactors and have overcome a series of key technologies of liquid metal reactors. At present, CLEAR research and development work has entered the project implementation stage.
